Here are a few of my different concepts when designing my female character, some at the top I looked at some japanese fashion photos and then the rest are steampunk themed. Please comment on the post to say if there are any you prefer to my final character or what could I do to my final character which one of these characters have. Please give all the feedback you want :)
I love the progression of the characters to the end. I like the costume of the fifth one down and also the gas mask used on the fourth image down. I like the innocence of the first few images and how it changes slightly towards a more sinister image slightly.
ReplyDeleteNot entirely sure what Steampunk is but it is interesting and a very different style to the Japanese look at the top.
You could always try mixing and matching the Japanese and Steampunk and see what that looked like, as it could be interesting
I also like the 5th one its quite a Victorian look which creates a dark, mysterious image.

ReplyDeleteI quite like the 3rd design and the design with the top hat. These to me appear to be strong and seem to relate to what you are getting to go for with this character. This is because they seem interesting, different and mysterious.
What I really like about the above sketches is how you have incorporated not only steampunk but other themes and really experimented with different elements like the mask and the japanese style (kind of cabaret ) works really well
